Early New Zealand Fashion Plates 1811-1825. A Dunedin Public Art Gallery touring exhibition, curated by Lynda Cullen, 45 hand-coloured fashion plates and period items from the collection including fashion accessories. A Victorian formal silk gown also on loan from the Kauri Museum.

The Whangarei Art Museum will be closed to the public from the 4th July to the 13th September 2011 to allow the staff to pack up house and move to our exciting new premises at The Hub. Town Basin, Dent St., Whangarei City.
The Art Museum opened in June 1996 in an historical arts and crafts building in beautiful Cafler Park adjacent to the cultural amenities of Forum North Theatre and the conservatory and Fernery.
It is the public gallery of the city and district and custodian of the extensive city art collection. The Museum is also the venue for national touring exhibitions and internally curated exhibitions and public programmes.
