The Whangarei Art Museum’s mission is to acknowledge, preserve and showcase the visual arts history of our region, with a focus on our place in the Pacific and our bicultural heritage. The Whangarei Art Museum Collection embraces heritage and contemporary art including ceramics, sculptures, paintings and installation works by both local and nationally celebrated artists. Exhibitions include both internally and national touring exhibitions which showcase the full diverse creative practice of Northland and New Zealand.
