NZ Refining Company Visitor Centre
Our Visitor Centre provides an insight into how the country’s only oil refinery works.
About this activity
Displays include a 130 square metre scale model of the Refinery and a 20 minute audio-visual show explaining how oil is refined. Sound & light show every half hour. Open daily 10am-5pm. Admission Free. For an educational and entertaining half hour the Centre is well worth a visit – and when the sightseeing is finished, you can relax at Café North (Open 7 days 6am-3pm) or visit the nearby scenic beach with views of Mount Manaia.
