About this activity

The forest has walking tracks which pass through remnants of an extensive Pa (Maori fortification) and an historic 1870’s goldmine.  The trails also link with the Whagnarei Quarry Gardens and the Quarry Arts Centre.  Tracks vary between 15 minutes and 2 hours one way.  Some parts are difficult and are suited to physically fit walkers
