The District is made up of farmland, orchards, forests and spectacular coastline with over 100 of New Zealand’s best beaches within 30 minutes of the city.
Finding a Job
If you’re skilled and looking to make a move to New Zealand then Whangarei needs you. Under Immigration New Zealand policy you will need an offer of employment that matches your skills and experience in most cases. Even if you’re coming to join family you may be in a category that requires a job offer and, if not, chances are you’d still like to have the security of knowing you can live comfortably, maintain your professional path and get the social contacts you will make through work once you arrive.
We need you in Whangarei if you fall into any of the following employment fields:

- Marine – boatbuilders, cabinet makers, finishers, marine furniture fitters, cabinet work installers, marine design draftspeople, project administrators,
