Whangarei has two information centres; the Whangarei i-SITE Visitor Centre (the official Whangarei i-SITE) and The Hub Information Centre. Both centres offer wonderful displays, information and maps to help you plan your journey.
Our friendly and knowledgeable local experts will provide you with impartial information about accommodation, activities and tours throughout Whangarei, Northland and the rest of New Zealand. They are agents for Tranz Rail, Intercity, Interislander and Bluebridge and offer a FREE booking service.
The Whangarei i-SITE Visitor Centre
The Whangarei i-SITE Visitor Centre, is located at Tarewa Park, 92 Otaika Road, Whangarei, on State Highway One at the southern entrance to Whangarei city, and offers free parking and clean toilets. Located on the edge of a delightful park, we invite you to take a break at "Café in the Park" which offers indoor/outdoor dining, great food and excellent coffee.
The Whangarei i-SITE also offers an extensive range of souvenirs, plus stamps, phone cards and maps.

The Hub Information Centre
The Hub Information Centre is situated at the heart of the picturesque Town Basin on the waterfront, which has a wonderful selection of cafes, restaurants, specialty shops, art galleries and craft shops, along with the Whangarei Art Museum and the Claphams Clock Museum.
