The Heritage Park Trust have already raised 85% of the $1 million we need to complete Stage 1, but they still need to raise more funds.  Claire has therefore decided to help raise money by cycling the first half of the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge on 28th November - 80km with what Claire thinks is an excessive number of hills!  Claire commented “Those who know my usual aversion to hills and exercise in general will know just what a challenge this will be! So please support me in this crazy endeavor!  All of the staff are passionate about the Kiwi North Project and we just need to raise some more funds to make it a reality.  Every little bit will help.”  As an added incentive, those who are able to donate $50 or more will be recognised in the ‘Kiwi Rocks’ campaign and their name will be engraved on a plaque on boulders which will be placed by the new entrance.

With only a week to go Claire says she is getting a little nervous.  Claire has been updating the give a little site about her training for the event and is sure to report back about the challenge when she has recovered.  The page will be live until mid December so there is still plenty of time to make a donation.
