Ngunguru will be the place to be this coming Sunday as an afternoon of fun family events and activities take place in a lead up to a spectacular fireworks display after dark.

Organised by the Ngunguru School Parent Teacher Association, the Marina Pizzeria Fireworks Extravaganza begins at 4pm with events such as a dads in drag race, cart horse and digger rides, throw a sponge at the principal, coconut shy, Polynesian performing arts and a bonfire followed by the fireworks display. A variety of foods and refreshments will be available including a hangi, a barbecue and Asian food.

Children must be supervised by their parents, whanau or caregivers during the event and are asked to stay off the sand dunes between 7.30pm and
9pm.

Entry is by donation.
